Barrington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: St. Raphael Academy, who was ranked eighth at the time (Barrington was ranked 15th). The Eagles came out on top against the Saints by a score of 16-9 two weeks ago. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Central ultimately got the result they hoped for last Saturday. They snuck past Burrillville with a 41-35 victory. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Central's record is now 2-7. As for Barrington, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-5.
Barrington ended up a good deal behind Central in their previous meeting back in September, losing 37-21. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
